The Image in Archaeological and Museum Narratives

The Image in Archaeological and Museum Narratives

This volume brings together texts that explore the – self-evident yet complex – relationship of the image with archaeological and museum narratives. Through a variety of case studies, it highlights the role of the image as an archaeological research object, the dynamics of visual communication and, more broadly, graphic curation in museum exhibitions, the alternative forms of visualizing antiquity, as well as the position of the image as a structural element in exhibition experiments and narratives.
