Participation in Museum Education Programmes and the Psychosocial Identity of Students: A critical Approach to the coexistence of educational and Museum Process.

Ph.D. Candidate: Eirini Delidaki

Taking into consideration that so far the proposals and the evaluations of educational programmes have been moving mainly towards clear cognitive aims or aims of skills development and less towards issues related to the formation of new attitudes and perceptions, in the present research we attempt a study focused on the multidimensional relationship developed between the museum visit and pedagogical psychology. In particular, we will proceed, on one hand, to the organization of bibliography and good practices that will highlight the interaction between the aesthetic experience and pedagogical psychology. On the other hand, it is necessary to conduct a qualitative survey in order to investigate the extent to which the interaction between specific secondary school students and specific museum exhibitions within the context of specific curricula, developed, contributed or shaped behaviors. The Thessaloniki Cinema Museum is a suitable case study not only because of its rich audiovisual material but also for the diversity of educational activities for secondary school students that take place in it.
